30-Day Glow-Up Challenge

 

It’s 30 days from today. You wake up feeling refreshed and energized, your skin is glowing, your hair is shiny and healthy, and you’re filled with positivity and confidence. This is what the 30-Day Glow-Up Challenge can do for you. It’s time to put yourself first and take the first step towards a better you.

It’s all about feelin’ yourself! So when you look in the mirror, you say to yourself, “I look amazing!”

If you’re like most women, it doesn’t happen very often. You might have days where your hair looks great or your outfit is on point, but overall, there’s just something missing from your look something that makes you feel beautiful but not quite like yourself.

It could be as simple as a new haircut or as complicated as getting rid of old habits and replacing them with new ones. But there are simple things everyone can do to make themselves feel more confident and beautiful each day. And this month-long challenge is designed to help you get there!

30-Day Glow-Up Challenge

1. Practice gratitude every day 

Write down three things that went well today and why they happened. If you don’t have three things, write down one thing that went well and try again tomorrow.

2. Drink lots of water

Drink 8 glasses of water each day to keep your body hydrated and skin glowing.

3. Establish a morning routine

Establishing a morning routine that includes a healthy breakfast, stretching, and meditation is a great way to start your day on a positive note. By taking care of your body and mind first thing in the morning, you can set yourself up for a more productive, focused, and fulfilling day ahead.

4. Go for a walk or jog

One of the best ways to keep your glow is by getting in a little bit of physical activity every day. And not just any old walking, we’re talking about a 30-minute jog or walk. It doesn’t have to be on the treadmill, you can do it outside, too!

5. Take a daily multivitamin

Ensure you’re getting all the essential nutrients your body needs!

6. Try a new healthy recipe

When you’re on a diet, it can sometimes feel like you’re eating the same things over and over again. But there’s no reason why that has to be true! Today, try making a new recipe that is healthy and delicious. You don’t have to go all out or spend hours in the kitchen, just pick one that sounds good, give it a try, and see how it goes.

7. Cut out processed foods

Processed foods are basically anything that comes in a box or bag, or has more than one ingredient on the label. In place of processed foods, try eating more whole foods: fruits and vegetables (organic if possible). You’ll feel better about what you’re putting in your body when it’s made up of real food!

8. Take a relaxing bath

Take a relaxing bath with essential oils to soothe your mind and body. If you’re feeling stressed, take a hot bath with Epsom salts to help release the tension in your muscles. Add some lavender or chamomile essential oil for extra relaxation!

9. Get enough sleep

Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night to improve your overall well-being. 

Getting enough sleep helps boost metabolism and immune system function, which means that when you’re getting enough sleep, you’re less likely to get sick and more likely to be able to fight off any sicknesses that come your way. 

10. Practice mindful breathing exercises

Breathing exercises are a great way to reduce stress and anxiety, and they can help you calm down when you feel overwhelmed.

Here’s how it works: sit or lie down comfortably with your eyes closed. Take a deep breath in through your nose (with your mouth closed), filling your lungs as fully as possible before exhaling slowly through your mouth. Repeat this 5-10 times until you feel relaxed and centered.

11. Read a book or listen to calming music.

Set aside 10-15 minutes each day to read a book or listen to calming music.

This is the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. You might be surprised at how much of a difference it can make!

12. Wardrobe clean up

Today’s challenge is about cleaning out your closet, but it’s not just about getting rid of stuff, it’s also about making room for new things.

If you’ve been carrying around clothes that don’t fit or flatter your body type, or are something you never wear, take them to a charity and give them away. You’ll be helping someone else get their glow on, and you’ll make room for new clothes that will help you feel amazing!

13. Write in a journal and reflect

Writing is a great way to reflect on your day, express your emotions, and clear your mind. It can also be really fun to look back on after the fact. You might want to start by writing about what went well today, or maybe even what didn’t go so well. 

Writing in a journal is also an opportunity for self-reflection: what do you want to improve about yourself? What is one thing you wish could go differently in your life?

14. Try a new type of exercise

Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your body and mind. 

Today’s tip is: Try a new type of exercise. Whether it’s yoga or pilates, swimming or running, whatever gets your heart pumping do it! The more different types of exercise you try, the better your results will be in the long run.

15. Get a massage

Whether you go to a massage salon or do it yourself, massage is one of the best ways to soothe your body and mind. 

When you’re feeling tense, tense muscles can cause pain and discomfort, and they can even lead to injuries if they aren’t treated. So get yourself over to that massage table and let someone else take care of you for once!

16. Take a social media detox

It’s easy to get caught up in the constant stream of news, updates, and photos on social media, especially if you’re a business owner or influencer. But taking time away from it can be extremely beneficial for your mental health and productivity levels. 

Taking a social media detox for just a few days will help you focus more on what’s important in your life, which will allow you to feel refreshed and ready to take on the next glow up challenges with renewed energy!

17. Try a new make-up look

There’s no better time than now to try out that daring new lipstick color or cut you’ve been eyeing up. 

You don’t have to go all-in on an entirely new look, you can just do something small, like adding a fun flower accessory or trying out a braid. You might be surprised by how much of an impact it has on your mood!

18. Affirmations

Affirmations are simple little statements that you can repeat over and over again to yourself to help reinforce positive thoughts and feelings. They can help you focus your energy on what it is that makes you feel good about yourself, rather than what it is that feels bad. 

Try saying one of these affirmations while looking in the mirror:

“I’m beautiful.”

“I am worthy of love.”

“My body is strong and healthy.”

19. Explore a new place

Take a day trip and explore a new place, or go on an adventure in your own backyard. Maybe you could even go skydiving!

Whatever it is, make sure it’s something that will make you feel like the person you’ve been waiting to be all along—the one who isn’t afraid to take chances, take risks, and live life without regrets.

20. Spend time with loved ones

The great thing about spending time with loved ones is that it doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive, you can just go over to their house and hang out! 

Grab a pizza and watch a movie together, go for a walk in the park, or just sit around talking about your lives. There’s no wrong way to do this! 

21. Learn a new skill or hobby

Challenge yourself to learn something new this month. Maybe it’s a new language, or how to play the guitar. Or maybe it’s just learning how to cook one new meal each week. 

The point is that you should challenge yourself to learn something, and then go out there and do it! You’ll be amazed at how much fun it can be, and how much more confident you feel as you master a new skill or hobby.

22. Treat yourself 

If you’re feeling like your skin could use some TLC, take today to treat yourself! Whether that means spending the day at an actual spa or just doing a few DIY treatments at home, it’s important to take time out of your busy schedule to focus on your own needs and let yourself relax.

23. Spend time in nature

The great outdoors is so important to our health, and it’s something we all should be doing more of!  

You can find nature everywhere even if it’s just your backyard! If you don’t have easy access to parks or hiking trails, just go for a walk around your neighborhood or take some time on your lunch break to sit under a tree.

24. Listen to a guided meditation

This is your chance to practice mindfulness and find some time for yourself in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of life.

Guided meditations are great for anyone who wants to learn how to meditate, but doesn’t know where to start or have trouble staying focused during sessions on their own. 

25. Create a new skincare routine

This is the perfect time to start a new skincare regimen. Your skin will thank you for it! It can be as simple as adding one product to your current regimen, or as complex as changing the order of your steps altogether.

26. Yoga workout

Yoga is great for flexibility and balance. It helps build strength in your core muscles and improves posture by stretching out tight muscles. It also boosts circulation and relieves stress. To get started with this 30-day challenge, you should try my simple yoga workout sequences!

27. Make a vision board

vision board is an easy way to organize your goals and dreams, and it’s a great way to keep yourself focused on what you want. You can make it as elaborate or simple as you like!

28. Smile at everyone you see

It’s a small gesture, but it can make a big difference in someone else’s day. And when you make someone feel good, it makes YOU feel good! It’s a win-win situation.

29. Forgive yourself

Forgiving yourself is one of the most important parts of growing as a person. Even if you feel like you’ve done something wrong, it’s important to remember that mistakes are how we learn and grow.

30. Celebrate

Take time to reflect on your progress and celebrate your accomplishments. You deserve it!

You’ve made it through the month, and you should be feeling amazing! 

Now it’s time to take a moment and reflect on what you’ve accomplished. Did you reach all of your goals? Did you fall short? Whatever the case may be, don’t get down on yourself, you did what you could, and that’s enough.
